The mission

You feel uncomfortable in front of the camera right? Not sure what to do with your hands or where to look? No worries, you are not alone in that feeling and I promise, I can help. My aim is to document your day in a way that feels relaxed, easy and enjoyable for you. Creating a positive experience that will leave you wondering where your inner Ziggy Stardust had been all this time.

My Style

Editorial, Emotional…with a side of music industry grit. An unusual combination, but it works. My background in music photography combined with my love of light and people has enabled me to create a unique aesthetic to creatively document your wedding day.

I strive to create beautiful, emotive and artistic photographs that will not only remind you of how it all looked, but how it felt to be there surrounded by your favourite humans. I do this by playing with natural light and focusing on capturing the true, un-staged moments and genuine emotions that make up your day.

I like to hunt down the smallest of gestures, as well as the big ones. From the belly laughter and enthusiastic dance-moves. To the subtle looks of pride and under the table hand squeezes.

Your images should be a true reflection of what it was like to be at your wedding. Images that will bring the mood, the energy and atmosphere to life. So you can look back and relive it all over again.

A little bit of this, with a little bit of that…

creates a whole lot of loveliness.

Images that remind you how it felt…

so you can relive it in all it’s beautiful glory.

My approach

I am not the kind of photographer to remain on the sidelines, capturing your day at a distance. I like to be in the eye of the splendid storm, intentional and present. For me, that is where you strike gold.

Being close to the celebrations helps me to discover the stories that bond you with your nearest and dearest, to uncover the history of your friendships and decipher what are the true moments worth freezing in time. Leaving you with an honest, authentic set of images curated to you and your story.

and all that comes in-between.

Some advice

Forget everything you’ve heard about what a wedding should look like. Stay true to your vision and what would make the day truly yours, then the planning process will be easy and fun.

When it comes to finding the right photographer for you, my advice would be to take your time to enjoy the whole host of beautiful work out there. Soak up the moments captured, the play with light and composition. You want to find a photographer that you can trust will capture your memories in a style you love and will continue to love for years to come.

(…and it’s totally ok if that’s not me by the way, no hard feelings, I promise. I just really believe in this.)

Photography is one of the few investments that you will enjoy long after the cake has been devoured and the red wine stains have vanished.
