Rangefinder 30 Rising Stars of Wedding Photography 2019

Guys. A thing happened and I am still yet to get my head around it.

It all came about a few months ago when I received an email from Rangefinder, a well known and respected industry magazine informing me that I had been nominated to enter it’s annual photography award, 30 Rising Stars.

I. Was. Shooketh. SHOOKETH I tell you. I thought it was my friend Fraser pulling another one of his email pranks and was applauding him for his incredible detail and sincerity. He is good, but this was tooooo good. Turns out it was the real deal.

To fill you in, Rangefinder is an international Wedding and Portrait photography magazine that holds an annual contest where photographers around the world are nominated by other leading professionals to submit a portfolio of their fave work for consideration. To be invited to submit is a big deal in itself, that already felt like a win for me. So this news is pretty mega for me.

Over 300 submissions were reviewed by a panel of Rangefinder editors and industry insiders who then decide on a list of 30 photographers who they consider as one of the 30 Rising Stars of 2019. Somehow, I made the cut and am feeling incredibly humbled and proud of myself for this achievement. I never win anything, except Mario Kart so this is a real buzz.

A big, big thank you to Rangefinder for this honour. Thank you to all of those that have supported my career over the past few years and of course a big thank you to all my legendary couples who have trusted me to capture their memories for them.

Also, a big congratulations to the other Rising Stars - very well deserved team of 2019, you all nailed it! There is some serious talent out there guys, if you want to be inspired you can check out the full galleries of this years stars here.

Thank you again, this feels awesome.

Here is my submission for anyone interested…BIG LOVE
